Nuna wins first 20/20

The Nunaboys 20/20 campaign started off with a win vs Kew at Nuna last night.

NUNAWADING CC 6/149 (20 overs)
Darcy O’Connor 46*
Jarrod Rutley 35

KEW CC 2/145 (20 overs)
Nikku Virk Singh 1/14 (3)

Was a great score first up – absolute quality by Darce and Ruts with the bat, well supported by Daniel Augelli (16), Marc Lamont (12) and Zac Dunlop (8*) who were critical to their partnerships with their intensity and the pressure they applied with the bat. Running between wickets was a particular highlight of our performance overall.

This was followed up by some great work by the bowlers; especially Darce (0/22 off 4), Monty (0/18 off 4), Buddy Mendis (0/26 off 4) and Nikku who kept the scoring pressure on the opposition the majority of the time. S upport also come from Will Dalton and Thushitha Dhanushka with the ball and in particular Zac, Darce, Ash Voellner, Dan and Willy in the field.

All in all a great result to get the points against a strong opposition, but we all know we can still improve and really make ourselves the team to beat in this comp!

Next game is next Tuesday night at Nuna. Would be great to see some supporters !

Bar will be open and BBQ firing.
