Nunawading Cricket Club are pleased to announce the appointment of Roger Young as Senior Club Coach and Ken Hanna as Assistant Coach/Practice Captain for 2013-14.
Roger is a Level 3 accredited career coach who as significant achievements both on and off the field. These include a total of 72 premierships in cricket and baseball including at District, Sub-district and park cricket levels.
Roger’s brief is to introduce a cricket cultural change to our practice and game-day routines. His focus will be on Thursday night practice and Saturday pre-match warm ups. So players, please expect some major changes in the way you will be expected to train and play. This is an exciting announcement for us as we believe the only way for us is up and that a major shift in attitude to cricket is required.
Practice will be further enhanced by the arrival to Nuna of Ken Hanna. Ken is an experienced junior coach having run junior and Milo In2Cricket programs at Kerrimuir CC. Ken has a wealth of ideas and experience to bring to Nuna and we look forward to Ken’s insights on practice and 1-1 coaching adding value to our players in all grades, seniors and juniors.
Both Roger and Ken will be available to assist with the junior program, under the direction of Junior Coaching Director, Darren Wharton.
