Sad News

The club regrettably advises members and friends of the passing of Danny Pomeroy.

Danny played 112 games from 1960-71, taking 148 wkts @ 16.  Danny scored 3423 runs @ 24.8, with 2 tons , including a magnificent 206 (one of only 4 double-tons in Nunawading history).  He also won the T.A. Reeves Trophy in 1967/68 and played in three First XI Premierships.

Danny also played in the first ever Juniors at Nunawading, in 1960-61 and won the batting averages scoring 591 runs at 74. He played in a B Grade premiership in 1964/65 alongside club luminaries such as John Davies, Ray Andrew, Graeme Harris, Colin James, Gary Walker (V-C), Arty Walker, Nicki Cox, Graham Best, Ian McLeod and John McDonnell.

Our thoughts are with Danny’s family.
